The award includes a month-long sojourn in Florence – where students take coursework in Renaissance studies – and excursions to other major Italian cities. The creator and backer of the High School Renaissance Award is journalist Mario Calvo Platero, Chairman of the Palazzo Strozzi Foundation US.
