Ye, the rapper formerly known as Kanye West, has become entangled in the legal controversy involving hip-hop mogul Sean “Diddy” Combs. Lauren Pisciotta, Ye’s former assistant, claims she was drugged and sexually assaulted during a studio session co-hosted by Combs.
In an amended complaint obtained by PEOPLE, Lauren Pisciotta, who worked for Ye from 2021 to 2022, alleges that her employer committed “sexual assault” after giving her a drink with drugs. Combs was the co-host of the studio session, but the she did not accuse him of any wrongdoing in her lawsuit against Ye.
A legal representative for West previously dismissed Pisciotta’s wrongful termination lawsuit as “baseless,” claiming that she “pursued [West] sexually to coerce employment and other material benefits, then engaged in blackmail and extortion when her advances were rejected.”
This is the latest in a series of legal proceedings for Ye. Earlier this year, Trevor Phillips, a former employee of Donda Academy and the rapper’s Yeezy fashion brand, filed a lawsuit accusing the rapper of racism, homophobia, anti-Semitism, and harassment of students and staff. Phillips also alleges that he was sexually harassed, repeatedly abused and humiliated by West in front of other employees and that he never received his termination after the academy shut down.
While as for Diddy, the 54-year-old is currently under custody at the Metropolitan Detention Center in Brooklyn after he was denied bail following his plea of not guilty to charges of conspiracy to commit racketeering, sex trafficking, and transportation of prostitution. He is additionally facing the sexual assault lawsuits of 120 other people, represented by Houston attorney Tony Buzbee.
