There are some events that we wait all year for. In Spring the most anticipated is the flowering of the cherry blossoms in Central Park and all over New York city. A close second is the Macy’s Flower Show.
Out-of-towner, foreign tourists, and NY residents alike, all flock to this floral-filled exhibition, where jaw-dropping arrangements decorated to fit a specific theme are on display for two weeks. 2023’s installment at the megachain’s Herald Square location features a “dreamscape of fluffy clouds and whimsical floral landscapes” in partnership with Dior.

Macy’s first floor looks like “a dream-like city in the sky,” with thousands of plants, flowers and trees as well as “playful, whimsical” displays with gravity-defying elements.
And a partnership with Dior can only enhance what is already a stunning event. The iconic fashion house has created an installation on the store’s balcony level that will take visitors through a floral “field” to show how the brand makes its fragrances.
Its Broadway window display also looks like a magical garden, featuring designs by students from The Fashion Institute of Technology. It’s an event not to be missed.
The Flower Show is being held from Sunday, March 26 through Monday, April 10 at Macy’s Herald Square at 151 W 34st Street, between Sixth and Seventh Avenues.
The Flower Show is free! You can admire the blooms while you shop during normal Macy’s business hours.
