In a world where frenzy seems to dominate every aspect of our daily lives, where speed is the norm and every moment is an opportunity not to be missed, comes a proposal that adapts to these rhythms: soup candies.
Progresso, the well-known soup brand, has decided to launch “Soup Drops,” small spheres that promise to condense the flavor of chicken broth into a portable format that can be taken anywhere. For those with tight schedules who don’t want to give up traditional pleasures, this option might just meet both needs.
The warm soup that brings to mind the traditional meals from grandma’s kitchen–and known as a cure for practically all ills–can now be enjoyed in snack form, a hard candy that promises to deliver all the taste of a steaming bowl of noodles, to be savored without a spoon.
Progresso’s new offering takes a bold step into the world of savory snacks, providing the classic flavors of broth, vegetables, chicken, and a sprinkle of parsley in a form no one could have ever imagined. The company described this innovation as “soup you can suck,” designed for those who want to find warmth and familiarity in taste, even while waiting in the supermarket line or during a long journey.
According to MC Comings, VP and Business Unit Director at General Mills, “When you’re sick, nothing is more comforting than a bowl of chicken noodle soup,” so instead of having to return home to make the classic bowl, you can now take the flavor anywhere. Progresso launched these Soup Drops for National Soup Month, right at the height of cold and flu season.
The drops are packaged in a can that resembles a regular Progresso soup can, with 20 individually wrapped candies in each can. They are available for purchase exclusively at ProgressoSoupDrops.com, with new quantities released every Thursday throughout January and retail for about $2.49. They are already sold out for the week.
