Angelo Badalamenti, the Italian-New Yorker composer known for, among other things, his collaboration with David Lynch, for whom he signed the Twin Peaks soundtrack, has died at the age of 85.
Badalamenti’s collaboration with Lynch began in 1986 with Blue Velvet, continued in 1990 with Wild Heart and The Secrets of Twin Peaks, continuing in 1992 with Fire Walk with Me. In 1997 it was with with Lost Roads; in 1999 with A True Story; in 2001 with Mulholland Drive (in which he also figures as an actor under the name of Luigi Castigliane) and in 2002 with Rabbits.
