The entire Juventus board, headed by president Andrea Agnelli, has resigned.
The news that has been bouncing around is sensational: in the early afternoon rumors suggested that the board of directors of the “Old Lady” might resign en bloc, and so it happened, with the entire management leaving the top positions of the team: president Andrea Agnelli, vice-president Pavel Nedved, CEO Maurizio Arrivabene and all the other members, namely Laurence Debroux, Massimo Della Ragione, Giorgio Tacchia, Katryn Fink, Daniela Marilungo, Francesco Roncaglio and Suzanne Keywood.
According to the Gazzetta dello Sport, the decision is said to be a consequence of the investigation opened by the Turin Public Prosecutor’s Office on charges of false accounting, and the latest CONSOB objections, which prompted the revision of the draft budget to be approved and twice postponed the shareholders’ meeting, currently set for Dec. 27.
The outgoing board of directors of the Turin team had taken office on May 19, 2010.
