“What has always guided me as an artist is a passion for black and white. The choice of photographs in this exhibition first of all focuses on affection for very important people in my life, who have since passed away. The void left, over time, has been filled by nature. From the moonscapes of Utah to the deep roots of ancient trees, the love of nature has assumed a crucial role in my artistic evolution. I have thus selected a photographic journey along a creative span between 1975 and 2023 that I hope illustrates the latitude of my work”. (Priscilla Rattazzi)
This exhibition is divided into three sections:
Portraits, made from 1975 to 2023, including photos of Alberto Moravia, Gianni Agnelli, Alighiero Boetti, Leo Castelli, Diana Vreeland, and Peter Marino.
Hoodooland Project capturing the incredible endangered Hoodoo rock carvings of southern Utah.
Three Lindens Project, a photographic tribute to three ancient linden trees that watched over the artist’s former family home in East Hampton, NY.
Priscilla Rattazzi was born in Rome, Italy and came to the United States in the early seventies. She studied photography at Sarah Lawrence College, and worked as an assistant to photographer Hiro. Throughout the eighties, Priscilla worked as a fashion and portrait photographer in New York. Her work appeared in Brides, Self, Redbook, New York and The New York Times Magazine. In Italy, her work appeared in Vogue Italia, Donna and Amica.
