It seems that Prince Harry has an endless reservoir of grievances. In the latest sneak preview of “Spare”, the memoir that is due to come out next week, Harry makes more serious—and uncorroborated—accusations against his brother William.
One of the most sensational is that his brother Prince William hit him and pushed him to the floor in an attack after the Prince of Wales described Meghan Markle as “difficult,” “rude” and “abrasive.
Harry said that he tried to get William a glass of water, but instead, he “came at me.” He does not detail how it got to the point where William needed to cool down with a glass of water, nor how the brawl started, but of course, it was all William’s fault.
“It all happened so fast. So very fast. He grabbed me by the collar, ripping my necklace, and knocked me to the floor,” the Duke of Sussex wrote. “I landed on the dog’s bowl, which cracked under my back, the pieces cutting into me. I lay there for a moment, dazed, then got to my feet and told him to get out.”
According to the passage obtained by The Guardian, William then left and said, “You don’t need to tell Meg about this.” Harry wrote that his now-wife did notice the “scrapes and bruises” and that she “was terribly sad.”
In another extract he claims that William and Kate made him wear the infamous Nazi uniform in 2005. According to the memoir, he phoned William and Kate to ask their opinion on whether he should wear a pilot uniform or a Nazi costume to the party. “Nazi uniform, they said.”

He adds that when he went home and tried it on for them, “They both howled. Worse than Willy’s leotard outfit! Way more ridiculous! Which, again, was the point.”
In an episode of the Netflix documentary, “Harry and Meghan” that dropped last month, Harry brought up that event, saying: “It was probably one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I felt so ashamed afterwards. All I wanted to do was make it right.”
According to Sky News, which obtained a copy of the book ahead of publication, a revelation that is unrelated to his brother is that he took cocaine as a teenager. “Of course, I had been taking cocaine at that time. At someone’s house, during a hunting weekend, I was offered a line, and since then, I had consumed some more.”
“It wasn’t very fun, and it didn’t make me feel especially happy as seemed to happen to others, but it did make me feel different, and that was my main objective. To feel. To be different.”
He adds, “I was a 17-year-old willing to try almost anything that would alter the pre-established order. At least, that’s what I was trying to convince myself of…At that time, I was as capable of lying to myself as I had lied to that staff member.”
The public’s response to these new accusations is, as it has been all along, mixed, but overwhelmingly negative with the typical comment being, “The more Harry opens his mouth, the deeper the hole he’s digging for himself.”
One thing is for sure, if headlines are to be believed that, “Prince Harry Desperate to Win Back Brother William and Father King Charles After Destroying Family With Meghan Markle,” “Spare” will drive the final nail in that coffin.
