A tutte le Istituzioni Italiane-Americane del Tri-State:
Nel 2021 ricorre il Ventesimo anniversario dell’attacco alle Torri Gemelle, in questa occasione come negli ultimi 19 anni, le famiglie delle vittime Italiane e Italo-Americane, onoreranno i propri cari con la lettura dei nomi in una solenne cerimonia presso il Consolato Generale d’Italia a New York NY.
Per questa occasione particolare sono riuscito ad acquistare dei cofanetti commissionati dalla polizia di NY. Questi cofanetti contengono ognuno due grandi distintivi con la frase: “Never Forget 2001-2021″.
I cofanetti saranno personalizzati con il nome e cognome della vittima, e saranno consegnati ai familiari.
Chiedo alle autorità Italiane e a tutti gli Italiani una collaborazione fattiva per organizzare questa commemorazione, per far sì che le famiglie sentano ancora la vicinanza della loro Patria.
Il nuovo Console Generale a New York, Min. Plen. Fabrizio Di Michele, ha aderito all’iniziativa e metterà i locali del Consolato Generale a Park Avenue ancora una volta a disposizione della comunità.
Alcune famiglie da me rappresentate si sono trasferite senza lasciare un recapito, alcuni genitori da me conosciuti, sono al fianco del Buon Dio.
Chiedo a tutti di darmi una mano nel rintracciare queste famiglie.
Ho bisogno di volontari, che mi diano un aiuto nell’organizzazione, per commemorare degnamente i nostri eroi.

9/11: A Request for Help to Find Relatives of Italian and Italian-American Victims
Giulio Picolli, Coordinator, 9-11 Italian Families, launches a call to action for the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers in New York
To all the Italian American Institutions in the Tri-State Area:
2021 will mark the 20th anniversary of the attacks on the Twin Towers. This year, as in the last 19, the families of Italian and Italian American victims will honor their loved ones with the reading of the names in a solemn ceremony at the Consulate General of Italy in New York.
On this particular occasion, I have been able to acquire small boxes commissioned from the NYPD. These boxes will each contain two large badges with the following phrase:
“Never Forget 2001-2021”.
The boxes will be personalized with the first and last names of the victim and will be given to family members.
I’m asking the Italian authorities and all Italians for their collaboration in organizing this commemoration, so that the families can still feel their country close to them.
The new Consul General of Italy in New York, Min. Plen. Fabrizio Di Michele, has joined this initiative and will once again put the Consulate General in New York at the disposal of the community.
Some families that I will be representing have moved without leaving a forwarding address, and some victims’ parents that I have met, have passed away.
I ask all of you to help me in tracking down these families.
I need volunteers that can assist me in the organization to properly commemorate our Heroes.
