In the wake of the terrorist attack on the office of the French satirical newspaper Charlie Hebdo, La VOCE di New York asked foreign correspondents at the United Nations to comment on what happened in Paris. The attack, in which 12 people died, was widely seen as an attack on the media and freedom of speech. Journalists all over the world are concerned, as it is seen as a threat to anyone who wants to stand for freedom and against fanaticism.
The United Nations correspondents appear to be divided though, as some of them seem to think that this is going to change everything, and that the freedom of the press is dead, while others think that this is sometimes a consequence that comes with being a journalist.
