Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez have denied rumors suggesting they were ready to tie the knot in Aspen, Colorado, shortly after Christmas with a lavish event boasting an estimated budget of over $600 million.
According to some sources, the couple allegedly reserved the renowned Matsuhisa restaurant for a dinner on December 26 or 27, followed by the ceremony the next day. However, the Amazon founder stated on X that the reports are entirely unfounded, emphasizing the importance of not believing everything read online.
Despite the secrecy surrounding the event, which follows the engagement proposal made in May 2023 aboard the mogul’s $500 million superyacht, speculation continues to spread. Some have pointed to actor Kevin Costner’s Dunbar Ranch, a 160 acre property, as a potential wedding venue, while others mention guests being hosted in the best hotels in the Colorado resort town and luxurious private villas.
In a recent interview, Sánchez confirmed she had purchased her wedding dress but maintained strict confidentiality about the details. Meanwhile, some wedding planners have speculated that the nuptials would feature an exclusive style enriched with elements evoking the rustic aesthetic of the famous ski destination. Additional events, such as themed dinners and snow activities, were also reportedly planned to entertain the guests.
As speculation persists, the couple seems determined to maintain control over the narrative surrounding their “big day,” which could still hold unexpected surprises.
The official denial, however, appears to challenge the entire account. Bezos himself declared that none of the rumors are true, emphasizing the strong influence of fake news.
