Rapper Travis Scott was reportedly arrested in Paris for fighting with his bodyguard while drunk, only hours after he was seated courtside to watch Team USA compete.
According to local publication Le Parisien, the 33-year-old hitmaker of “SICKO MODE” was taken into custody by police early on Friday after spending a wild evening in the French capital with his group. Scott, whose actual name is Jacques Webster, and his security got into a violent argument at the Four Seasons Hotel George V, a fancy hotel in the city’s 8th arrondissement.
According to law police officials, Scott, got into a fight with his own security officer at the renowned Paris hotel over the presence of local paparazzi, a source said Page Six on Friday morning. The rapper was taken into custody just after 5 a.m. local time. According to the cops, he was still “sobering up” in his cell before being questioned further.
“They were screaming at each other, and the hotel freaked out and called the cops,” an insider recalled as reported by The New York Post.
According to sources, Scott was being closely followed by photographers as he moved around the city for the Olympics. One photographer was reported to have been peering into Scott’s car’s trunk when the rapper approached his personal bodyguard and demanded to know why he had allowed the photographer to do so.
In an X-posted video, Scott was seen getting into a car and coolly questioning the paparazzi about why they were still pursuing him on Friday morning in Paris at five in the morning.
The 10-time Grammy nominee’s arrest comes only one day after bodycam evidence from his Miami Beach trespassing arrest on June 20 was made public.
