Alec Baldwin is putting his lavish Hamptons Estate on the market for 19 million dollars.
The two-minute video featuring Baldwin extolling the “peacefulness” and beauty of Amagansett and, more specifically, the tranquility of his 10-acre property on Town Lane, was posted this week by Sanders & Associates.
In the video, shot on the pristine beach with the expansive modern farmhouse in the background, the actor speaks lovingly of his home and town as he walks along the East End beach. He has an air of sadness and melancholy about him as he says he’s “always happiest when I come here.”
The announcement that he is selling his Hamptons estate comes at a time when Baldwin is facing a disastrous legal situation.
Anyone who has followed the events that occurred on the set of the movie, Rust, which resulted in the fatal shooting of cinematographer Halyna Hutchins, knows he has much reason to be melancholy. And perhaps it has led to the need to sell the house that makes him so happy.
Known as a combative and explosive individual who has been in trouble with the law numerous times, Baldwin is facing his most serious run-in after being indicted again for involuntary manslaughter in the fatal shooting of Hutchins in 2021.

Baldwin, who was the lead actor and co-producer of the movie, has pleaded not guilty to the charge, which carries a potential prison sentence of up to 18 months to three years. Prosecutors allege that Baldwin caused Hutchins’ death either by negligence or by total disregard or indifference for safety. He has claimed that he did not pull the trigger of the gun that fired the fatal shot, but a new analysis of the weapon contradicts his statement.
The case is complicated by the fact that Baldwin was initially charged and then cleared of the same charge in 2023, raising questions about double jeopardy and prosecutorial misconduct. Baldwin’s attorneys have argued that the new charge is based on a law that did not exist at the time of the shooting and that prosecutors have made “a basic legal error”. The trial is expected to begin later this year and will likely involve testimony from witnesses, experts and Baldwin himself. The outcome of the case could have significant implications for Baldwin’s career, reputation and freedom–not to mention his financial wellbeing.
As a result, Baldwin’s life has been upended by the calamity. Baldwin’s 10,000-square-foot home, built in 1740, had previously been listed at $22.5 million, from March until it was temporarily taken off the market in November. Now the price has dropped to 19 million, perhaps an indication that the need to sell has become more urgent.
