Although Meghan Markle will not be present at the coronation of King Charles III in May, she is reportedly set on taking center stage if she can.
A few weeks ago, Buckingham Palace revealed the guest list for the coronation, and people were surprised to see Prince Harry’s name. However, there is disagreement as to whether Meghan was also invited. According to some sources, hers “was nowhere to be found“.
The uncertainty stems from her previously made admission that she would not travel to Great Britain even if invited, because she wouldn’t want to miss her son’s birthday, but this is not very convincing given the frequently-made observation that she could very well celebrate Archie’s birthday in England, in the presence of his grandfather, the King.
Now royal commentators report that, “Even though Meghan doesn’t plan to attend, she wants to cause maximum damage to the royal family,” GB News host and Daily Mail columnist Dan Wootton told Sky News.
According to Express UK, “She’s mastered the art of victimhood for money, and this is a huge opportunity.” It is no exaggeration to say that Markle is on the Brits’ naughty list as a result of the revelations and aspersions that keep on coming not only from her, but from Harry.
The way she plans to steal the show is by throwing a star-studded party for her son Archie, whose fourth birthday just happens to coincide with the coronation.
“It’s terribly petty, but the Sussexes, who no longer have their royal platform, seem to relish any opportunity to attempt to upstage a royal occasion,” royal columnist Lee Cohen told the Express.
Archie’s birthday party could feature big names like Oprah Winfrey, Serena Williams, Ellen DeGeneres and Portia de Rossi, who, according to insiders, may all be in attendance, according to the Mirror.
“She still wants to bring down the royal family,” Wootton told Sky News. “She will be unsuccessful, though.” We will have to see on May 6 which predictions come true.
