We would never guess that this star would ask to perform at King Charles’ coronation, but it’s true.
The British monarchy is not exactly known to be “cool” but there’s one iconically cool rapper who evidently thinks so. Snoop Dogg has declared how he’d be “down” to perform at King Charles’ coronation in May.
Even more surprising is that the iconoclastic rapper, born Calvin Cordozar Broadus Jr. in 1971, described as an “unlikely monarchist,” revealed he’d love to pay tribute to Queen Elizabeth whom he affectionately called “Queen Lizzie”.
With King Charles’ coronation weekend drawing nearer, speculation has arisen surrounding who might be preparing to perform at the Coronation Concert at Windsor Castle on May 7. Just like the matter of who is invited to King Charles’ coronation, the guest list for musicians for the concert is being kept a closely-guarded secret.
While Snoop Dogg is asking to be invited, several other performers have politely rejected the invitation to be part of the occasion, including Adele and Ed Sheeran, whose schedules conflict with the coronation performance.
Snoop Dogg is so eager to perform at the coronation that he’s urged people to make an appearance “happen” for him.
