From Science to Technology, Business and Literature, including Food and Cinema. From Thursday, November 14 to Friday, November 22, 2024, the Consulate General of Italy in Boston will host the Festival of Italian Creativity as it has been designated by the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs as the 2024 Capital of Italian Creativity in the world. On the last day, there will be a Gala dinner at the SOWA Power Station.
The science, technology, and business days of the festival will spotlight six key themes designed to foster dialogue and networking. These sessions will address crucial cultural, social, technological, and scientific challenges that influence our shared future. Topics will include Life Sciences, Climate Sustainability, Advanced Materials, Manufacturing, Electronics, AI, and Space, creating a unique forum to connect with a remarkable lineup of leaders from both Boston and Italy, including notable Italian artists, scientists, entrepreneurs, and investors. The full program also covers theater, cinema, music, literature, design, architecture, food, and gastronomy. And it is completely free—but registration is required because seating is limited.
“The Festival will involve institutions, universities, businesses and artists from Italy, Massachusetts and the New England area and will provide the ideal opportunity to promote Italy and to highlight the multiple connections between Italy and the US,” Consul General of Italy in Boston Arnaldo Minuti said as he invited the audience. Among the other government agencies and iconic Italian and Italian American companies, the Italian National Research Council (CNR), the Italian National Institute for Nuclear Physics (INFN), and the Italian Space Agency (ASI) will take part at the Festival. In addition, anyone interested in Italian culture and fostering connections between the USA and Italy is welcomed.
The event aims to celebrate the modern and contemporary genius of Italian creativity in an environment that, with its more than 50 universities and a “knowledge-economy” strongly rooted in the urban fabric, makes Boston the multifaceted cultural capital of the United States of America, where the creative drive is renewed every day.
