According to Buckingham Palace, Prince Harry is set to attend King Charles’s coronation, while Meghan and their children will remain in California.
The ceremony will take place at Westminster Abbey on May 6, and it will mark the first time that he has been seen with the Royal Family since the release of his memoir “Spare”, which vividly exposed family tensions.
Despite feeling “different” from his family, it has now been confirmed that he will attend his father’s coronation, coincidentally on the fourth birthday of his son, Archie. Meghan, who resides with Prince Harry in California, received an email over a month ago about the event, but it has been revealed that she will not be in attendance.
This decision may be viewed as another point of contention between the couple and the Royal Family. As he is no longer a “working royal”, it is uncertain what role Prince Harry will play in the coronation ceremony. His brother, Prince William, is expected to have a significant role in the event, and the attention will be on the two brothers reconciling after their much-publicized falling out.
The Royal Family will be expected to attend various public events and concerts over the long weekend. Prince Harry had made an unexpected appearance in London in March for a court hearing but did not meet his brother or father during his visit.
