Embattled Rep. George Santos, R-N.Y., will not seek any committee assignments in the House of Representatives, sources tell Fox News. The suspicion is strong that he did not make this sacrifice on his own initiative but that a deal was struck with the objective of taking the heat off the GOP– and especially the Speaker, Kevin McCarthy.
Multiple GOP sources confirm to Fox News that Santos said in a Republican conference meeting Tuesday morning he will recuse himself from committee assignments.
