Elon Musk is continuing his Twitter employee cutbacks. The latest to be affected are some employees in the Dublin and Singapore offices, dedicated to the moderation and disinformation part of the social. The risks regarding the safety of tweets and the spread of hate, racism and violence in its content continue to increase.
Lengthening the shadow on Musk’s social network comes the news that Columbia Reit, owner of the San Francisco property that houses Twitter’s headquarters, has reportedly demanded payment of the outstanding lease installment of $136,250. It was reportedly Elon Musk himself who called for the suspension of rent payments, while through his official profile announcing new features for his social platform.
The most important new feature is expected to arrive in early February and will allow users to post tweets longer than 280 characters. Also coming is the left and right swipe to move between recommended and followed users (coming as early as this week) and a new “favorites” button that will appear next to the “reply” and “retweet” buttons and will be released next week with an app update.
