As can be imagined, there was heavy police presence and press camped out on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, as well as curious on-lookers. La Voce di New York was among the press streaming live outside the Church of Saint Vincent Ferrer to view the arrival of guests for Ivana Trump’s funeral, the celebration of life of former President Trump’s first wife and mother of their three children, Donald Trump Jr., Eric Trump and Ivanka Trump.
The funeral mass lasted approximately one hour, and every detail had been planned out meticulously: the entire street was blocked off, all the way to the front entrance of the church, complete with barricades and blockades. There was a buzz and anticipation as to whether Donald Trump would be in attendance. The hearse containing Ivana Trump’s body made its way to the front of the St. Vincent Ferrer Catholic Church on the UES at around 1:40PM, as traffic had been halted to facilitate its arrival. Shortly thereafter, a black SUV drove up to the church’s front entrance, where Donald Trump’s children, accompanied by their spouses and children, entered the church for the ceremony, though Ivanka’s daughter was not in attendance.
Not too long after the children arrived, former president Donald Trump and former First Lady Melania Trump pulled up in front of the church, escorted by security. In the past days, there had been a lot of speculation as to who would be at the ceremony, and whether Donald and Melania would have been in attendance.
