The stories of our Italian ancestors are all different, and all alike, all equally fascinating. The Italian Cultural Institute of New York presents L’America di Irene – Storia di una friulana di frontiera (Chiandetti Editore) by author Paola Trappo, a book about the incredible life of her aunt Irene, emigrated from her Northern Friuli to America.
An emblematic book representing the experience of many Italian families, based on a touching collection of letters, postcards, and photographs that Trappo, a journalist, elaborated into a book.
The book presentation with Paola Trappo on September 9 at 6 pm comes on the occasion of the Year of Italian Roots in the World, in collaboration with E.R.A.P.L.E. (Ente Regionale Acli per i problemi dei lavoratori emigrati).
