A 22-year-old migrant was seriously injured in a stabbing outside a Brooklyn shelter on Thursday, following an altercation over an electric moped.
The incident occurred near the Brooklyn Navy Yard, on Hall Street and Flushing Avenue, where Cristian Concepcion, 25, allegedly became enraged after seeing another resident sitting on his moped, sources revealed.
The argument escalated when Venezuelan-born Concepcion allegedly stabbed the man twice in the chest around 12:15 p.m., according to police and sources.
Emergency medical personnel transported the victim to NewYork-Presbyterian Brooklyn Methodist Hospital. He is in serious but stable condition.
Concepcion was taken into custody and faces charges of assault, criminal possession of a weapon, and menacing. As of Thursday night, he was awaiting arraignment.
