A NYC sanitation worker reportedly stabbed two persons following a quarrel on Forest Hills’ Austin Street before fleeing in his garbage collection truck.
According to police, he pulled out a knife after an altercation with two men, aged 35 and 34, on Austin Street at 71st Avenue at 4:30 in the morning. He stabbed one of them in the chest and the other in the belly.
The victims later drove themselves to Long Island Jewish Hospital, where they were listed in stable condition, while the assaulter, who was employed by a private carting business, got in his truck and drove off. Police are still looking into what started the dispute. There have been no arrests made.
In the same hours, a man was slain in the Bronx after being hit “with a sharp object” in the neck during a dispute inside the El Chicanito Restaurant Bar on East 153rd Street, which spilled outdoors about 3:50 a.m.
The 32-year-old victim was taken by EMS to Lincoln Hospital, where authorities reported he had passed away. in In this instance also, there have been no arrests.
Lastly, authorities in Brooklyn reported that at around 11:10 p.m. on Friday, a man was shot once in the torso at the Bro Deli on East 81st Street and Flatlands Avenue. According to authorities, the 41-year-old “uncooperative” victim was sent to Brookdale Hospital in stable condition. At last sighting of the suspect, he was fleeing north on East 82nd Street.
