The new Barbie film starring Margot Robbie and Ryan Gosling has attracted a lot of buzz, and in the Big Apple you could soon enjoy an immersive pop-up themed around the titular doll. The Malibu Barbie Cafe is inviting all of New York City’s Barbie fanatics to experience the iconic brand in restaurant form, starting on May 17.
This comes on th eheels of a similar one opened in Chicago. The Malibu Barbie Cafe is spearheaded by Derek Berry, VP of Experiences at Bucket Listers. The cafe is inspired by 1970s Malibu, California. The Malibu Barbie doll debuted in 1971.

Barbie has proven to be one of history’s ultimate icons, we just couldn’t pass up this chance to bring her world to life.”
The cafe’s menu is created by “Master Chef” semi-finalist Becky Brown, and features all-day brunch as well as desserts to choose from. Every ticket comes with a seat and a guaranteed window of time to dine, plus a choice of entree and drink.
The pop-up will also feature photo opportunities and exclusive merchandise.

Tickets will start being sold online on April 19th.
