The Italian Cultural Institute in New York will host a screening event of the movie I Nostri Fantasmi (Our Ghosts), on Monday, November 14. The 105’ minute movie, is directed by the the Italian Alessandro Capitani. For fear that the social workers will take his son away from him, a father decides to hide with his son in an attic and live like ghosts, terrorizing the families that come one after the other in the apartment below. What seemed as an infallible plan, will be interrupted by the arrival of a mother and daughter who are trying to escape from an abusive husband/father.
The movie is part of the N.I.C.E Film Festival, which in this 32nd edition, will celebrate Italian cinema. This is one of the first events back in the “in person” format after the pandemic.
