On Saturday, October 29, “Get Out the Vote”, a rally organized by Gubernatorial candidate Lee Zeldin, took place on Staten Island. This rally represents one of the Republican candidate’s final efforts to gain as much support as possible ahead of the elections that will take place on November 9.
To win over the crowd’s support, Zeldin was joined by Florida Governor Ron De Santis, one of the current stars of the Republican Party. Zeldin will be joined by other big names of the party for other rallies, such as the Governor of Virginia, Glenn Youngkin, today at a rally in Westchester.
On Saturday, Zeldin discussed important issues on his political agenda and disparaged Governor Hochul’s performance on issues such as immigration, inflation, safety and freedom. In particular, he clearly stated his concerns regarding how the current state officials deal with crime and violence, and how, under his lead, New York State would return to being a safe place to live.
De Santis endorsed the NY candidate and affirmed how Zeldin would accomplish in New York State what he himself had successfully done in Florida: reverse Covid-19 mandates, support the rights of parents and shield kids from critical race theories and gender ideology.
Throughout the rally Zeldin depicted himself as a father, a husband, and a firm believer in law and order.
