Pop stars are becoming afraid of showing themselves on stage where too many of them have recently become targets of their fans’ “love” offerings. Or maybe it’s not out of love that they’re throwing things at them? The fact is that numerous performers in concert have ben embarrassed or even injured, by projectiles aimed at them.
The latest casualty is Harry Styles, who was doing his thing, playing a sold-out show in Vienna, Austria, when something hit him in the eye. And by the looks of it, from a video shared by Pop Crave, it really must have hurt.
This isn’t the first time for Styles who apparently is often targeted by his fans—though in most cases, with sweeter offerings. He was hit by a bouquet of flowers in Cardiff, Wales and last November someone launched a handful of Skittles at him in Los Angeles, and although sweet, the Skittles did hit him in the face on that occasion as well.

Some have suggested that the large uptick of bad behavior may be a sign that fans are getting irked by exorbitant ticket prices, scalper ripoffs and temperamental diva behavior, and they’re fighting back by turning on their former idols.
Last month, a man was arrested and charged with assault after he hit Bebe Rexha in the face with a cell phone. It was an injury that required stitches. Country singer Kelsea Ballerini was similarly struck by a projectile while performing less than two weeks later. And emerging pop star Ava Max was slapped by a concert-goer who rushed onto the stage while she was performing.

In a more bizarre incident, during a Pink concert at BST Hyde Park in London, a fan threw a bag containing their mother’s ashes on stage. Pink paused her performance to address the fan and picked up the bag containing the ashes. She appeared understandably confused in footage circulating on social media. “I don’t know how I feel about this,” she said.
Adele has reached the limit of her patience and is unleashing her anger against these unruly fans. “Have you noticed how people are like, forgetting f—ing show etiquette at the moment? People just throwing s— on stage, have you seen them?” She said during a recent show in her Vegas residency, while brandishing a t-shirt cannon. “I f—ing dare you. Dare you to throw something at me and I’ll f—ing kill you.”
The question has become: who will be the next target?
