Playing in the Masters with Tiger Woods is “a dream come true”, Italian No 1 Guido Migliozzi told ANSA on the eve of the iconic tournament at Augusta Wednesday.
The 25-year-old Vicenza-born player, who tied for fourth in last year’s US Open, is at his Masters debut. “I’ll give my utmost and enjoy every second. By qualifying for this date I’ve given myself the opportunity to reach the best result possible”, he said in an interview. Migliozzi, who has taken over from 2018 Open winner Francesco Molinari as Italian No 1, is also looking to next year’s Ryder Cup in Rome. “You bet I’m thinking about it. The Ryder Cup is a goal and Henrik Stenson, captain of Team Europe, has charisma and experience. Everyone expects great things of him”. Woods, 46, said Tuesday he was playing to win his sixth Masters after a horrific car crash 14 months ago.
