Dear Editor,
The upcoming Presidential election seems set to confront some of the greatest questions since the founding of Greek democracy. The Trump family who used to vacation in Connecticut has always been from the local NY metro area but the issues of the next election are beyond local or national. It’s a showdown between the varied equal branches of government, Executive and Judicial.
The Judiciary has always represented the oligarchs present at the founding of Athenian democracy, the varied interests always present in Greece, Rome and Carthage, but the Presidency is equal in our system and the people are supposed to be the final arbitrator, superior in essence to all branches of government, that was what the Madisonian Constitution demanded and achieved.
Trump faces four indictments from the varied federal districts, Fulton Co Georgia, Miami, New York City, which was the former national Capitol and the current US Capitol City, but as there is nothing in the constitution to preclude the people from electing him to power again at this moment, those indictments do not negate his right to take the oath of office should the people demand it!
