Film star Claudia Cardinale, the “most beautiful Italian in Tunis”, will visit Tunisia on May 25-30 at the invitation of the ministry of culture, the city of La Goulette and the Associazione Piccola Sicilia, in partnership with the Italian cultural institute.
The actress, the daughter of parents of Sicilian origin who grew up in La Goulette, a seaside town close to the capital, will be at the center of a series of cultural initiatives, including a photo exhibit dedicated to her and the screening of the film “Siciliani d’Africa: Tunisia terra promessa” (Sicilians of Africa: Tunisia Promised Land) by Bivona-Campisi.
On May 29th, Cardinale will attend the inauguration of a road named after her in the district where she lived as a child.
