Alessandro Melis, architect, art curator, and writer, is an expert in sustainability for future cities and architectural exaptation. He is a full professor at the New York Institute of Technology, where he holds the distinguished position of IDC Foundation inaugural Endowed Chair. He was the curator of the Italian Pavilion at La Biennale di Venezia in 2021 and served as an ambassador of Italian Design from 2020 to 2024 (Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
