Taty Girl, a famous Brazilian pop singer, changed the program during a concert to protect a stray dog frightened by fireworks. The puppy, later affectionately renamed Caramelo, had managed to get close to the stage, sitting quietly at the singer’s feet as the most polite spectator of the evening. When Taty noticed the animal’s discomfort at the beginning of the fireworks show, she interrupted everything: “We won’t throw fireworks anymore. Caramelo can’t stand them. Out of respect for him, we will cancel them.”
The singer has since adopted Caramelo, welcoming him into her home and sharing videos in which she sings sweetly to him while he watches her spellbound. Fans speak of her as a “Disney princess in real life.”
For safety reasons, dogs are not allowed at concerts unless they are licensed service dogs, such as police dogs. This is because they could be injured by the crowd, which risks crushing their paws or tails. Also, a frightened dog might try to run away, creating a mess or ending up being trampled. In this case, however, Caramelo had positioned himself right in front of the stage, leaving the crowd behind and becoming a “privileged guest” who won everyone’s heart.
