Known for keeping his private life out of the spotlight, golf champion Tiger Woods confirmed a relationship with Donald Trump Jr.’s ex-wife Vanessa, a golf enthusiast.
Woods revealed in an unusual post on social media that he is dating Donald Jr.’s ex-wife, Vanessa: “Love is in the air, and life is better with you by my side,” the golfer wrote, sharing a photo with Vanessa.
Vanessa, who divorced Donald Trump Jr. in 2018 after 13 years of marriage, also posted a photo with Woods on Instagram.
Rumors about their relationship had been circulating in tabloids for weeks. The Daily Mail reported that Woods, 49, and Vanessa Trump, 47 — both residents of Florida, living just minutes apart in Palm Beach — had been together since last October. In February, they were spotted together at a golf tournament.
Vanessa’s eldest daughter, Kai, 17, and Woods’ children, Charlie and Sam, attend the same school, the costly Benjamin School (to the tune of $38,595 per year). According to Daily Mail sources, the couple is not living together but spends a lot of time at Woods’ home on Jupiter Island.
A public announcement like this from the golfer — who was honored by Donald Trump in 2019 and attended a White House reception last February — would once have been unthinkable. He even named his yacht Privacy.
However, the message accompanying the Instagram photo has left fans puzzled, despite its evident intent to stop gossip and speculation. Love is indeed in the air, and “we look forward to our journey through life together”, but “At this time we would appreciate privacy for all those close to our hearts.”
