After nearly two years of engagement, Jeff Bezos and Lauren Sánchez are getting married in Italy this summer. According to a report by Puck News and picked up by Page Six, the couple has begun sending out official invitations. Although the exact location has not been confirmed, rumors are circulating that the ceremony could take place off the coast of Venice, aboard their $500 million mega-yacht, the Koru, in June. Bezos and Sánchez, 61 and 55, respectively, made their relationship official in 2019. The Amazon founder had proposed to her in May 2023 during a vacation on the French Riviera by giving her an engagement ring with a 30-carat pink diamond.
According to rumors reported by the Daily Mail, the two were to be married on December 28, 2024 in Aspen, Colorado in a $600 million Christmas-style ceremony. However, Bezos denied this information through his X account, calling it “completely false.”
Bezos, among the wealthiest men in the world, was previously married to philanthropist and actress MacKenzie Scott with whom he has four children. Bride-to-be Lauren Sánchez, a former journalist and anchorwoman, has one child with ex-partner Tony Gonzalez and two more with ex-husband Patrick Whitesell. Before her wedding, Sánchez will participate this spring in the first all-female space flight, with celebrities such as Katy Perry and Gayle King on board, organized by Blue Origin, her future husband’s space company.
