A recent revelation that Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. and journalist Olivia Nuzzi had a personal relationship while she was reporting on his campaign as a third party presidential candidate led to her suspension by New York magazine. The news is creating fallout not only in Nuzzi’s career, but in Kennedy’s marriage to Curb Your Enthusiasm actress, Cheryl Hines.
Sources are reporting that his long-suffering wife has had enough of RFK’s endless philandering and that she wants a divorce and that Robert F. Kennedy Jr. is “begging” her not to do it.
A source close to Hines tells PEOPLE that her husband’s alleged affair is “embarrassing” for her. “She’s been very angry about it. She has a great support team to vent to though,” the source says of the actress, detailing that “everyone’s on her side, of course.”
It’s not the first time that Kennedy has disappointed his wife or the first time that she has been asked to forgive him. “But how many times can you forgive a partner that’s dishonest and goes behind your back? It’s just ridiculous behavior from a grown, married man,” says the insider.
Neither Hines nor Kennedy have offered any no comment but when they were spotted in Malibu, California, on October 5, as per PEOPLE, “things seem pretty tense” between them and “Cheryl’s without her wedding ring,” the source adds.

Kennedy and Nuzzi’s alleged “relationship” made headlines after New York magazine published a statement announcing that the journalist had been put on leave on Sept. 19. The statement claimed that Nuzzi “acknowledged” that she “engaged in a personal relationship with a former subject relevant to the 2024 campaign.” At the time, Nuzzi said in a statement that “the nature of some communication” between herself and “a former reporting subject turned personal,” but said she “did not directly report on the subject nor use them as a source” during that time.
“The relationship was never physical but should have been disclosed to prevent the appearance of a conflict,” she further detailed in the statement. “I deeply regret not doing so immediately and apologize to those I’ve disappointed, especially my colleagues at New York.”

Once the news of his alleged affair with Nuzzi emerged, three other women came forward to claim they had a sexual affair with the eccentric politician in the past year alone.
According to Mediaite, “There are a number of women in the ‘health freedom’ movement who thought of themselves as Bobby’s only one, and I’m quite sure they are angry and shocked to find out they weren’t.” The source described the strategy that makes Kennedy one of the most successful philanderers: “After talking to some of these women, I think what he does is just love bombs them. He makes them feel important, even tells them he loves them, and so they all feel special and wanted.”
Kennedy garners publicity not only for his love life, but for his conspiracy theories and unfounded scientific claims, among which are that 5G wireless technology causes cancer, infertility, autism and ADHD. Recently he has also made headlines for claiming that a worm ate part of his brain and that he killed a bear in Central Park. Reports from his children have also surfaced that he once decapitated a whale and strapped it to the roof of his car.
