On Wednesday, June 28th, from 6 to 10 PM, a remarkable event unfolded in The Bronx. Commemorating its 30th anniversary, actor Chazz Palminteri, renowned for his role in “A Bronx Tale,” proudly introduced his latest venture: Chazz Palminteri’s “A Bronx Tale” Epic Cigars. Collaborating with Paul Di Silvio, the owner of La Casa Grande Cigars situated in the Arthur Avenue Retail Market, the launch party transported 187th Street back to its traditional Italian roots. Although tickets were priced at $275, the experience was unquestionably worthwhile, offering delights from unlimited Neapolitan pizzas, fried zeppole, antipasto, oysters, beverages, and other authentic Italian delicacies sourced from the Retail Market. Additionally, there were meeting with celebrities, actors, comedians, and a lively atmosphere.
A Bronx Tale revolves around the life of Calogero (Chazz) Palminteri, a young Italian American who grew up on Belmont Avenue. At the age of 9, he witnessed a man’s murder perpetrated by a gangster (unnamed), with whom he later formed an unexpected bond. Despite being surrounded by criminals throughout his life, Calogero or “C” as nicknamed by his friends, steered clear of drugs, crime, and detrimental influences, adhering to the creed imparted by his father, who taught him that “the worst thing in life is wasted talent.” Even today, this film is a profound source of inspiration and life lessons.
The event attracted a sold-out crowd. In addition, Chazz Palminteri maintains a strong presence on social media platforms, with over 200k followers on Instagram and 53k subscribers on YouTube.
Currently, Chazz Palminteri and the La Casa Grande Cigars team are journeying to Las Vegas, where they will proudly exhibit their cigars at the PCA Convention & Trade Show. Famous guests include Food Network personality Guy Fieri, and esteemed cigar manufacturer Carlos Fuente of the magazine “Cigar Aficionado.”
