We all know that Trump is “a very stable genius”, he has told us so himself more than once.
But now it seems that this is no longer enough to satisfy him. In his constant reach to set himself above all others, Trump has declared that he is no mere limited mortal like the rest of us: referring to himself in the third person, Trump posted on his Truth Social network that the media is pushing for President Joe Biden over “Brilliant, Clairvoyant, and USA LOVING Donald J. Trump,” apparently referring to the magical ability to see into the future or communicate with the nonliving. “LOVE TO ALL!” the post concluded, despite the usual rant and rave that characterizes all his communications, even on Christmas. .
No doubt his never-say-die MAGA followers agree with him, but for the rest of us it surely is a good laugh that the man who couldn’t “predict” his loss in the 2020 election now claims he can see the future. In fact, he apparently can’t see the future even when it’s firmly in the past. He still claims he won that election.
Non-MAGA followers familiar with his multitude of bad predictions, like declaring that COVID would “miraculously” disappear the spring of 2020, or that he would win the 2020 election by a bigger margin than in 2016, or that Republicans would take the House in 2020 are laughing. Let’s not mention that he predicted a “Red Wave” in the 2022 midterms, with his endorsed candidates leading the charge, the likes of which had never been seen. All “predictions” from the clairvoyant Donald Trump. Some critics responding on Twitter wondered why Trump stashed classified documents at Mar-a-Lago if he could see into the future as FBI agents searched for the files at his office there. He simply can’t see the bad stuff coming.
Despite this spate of failed predictions, Trump accused President Joe Biden of being “mentally disabled” in his post. Critics jumped on this as a prime example of the “pot calling the kettle black”, recalling that in his tenure as president there was frequent discussion of invoking the 25th amendment declaring him unfit to be president due to impaired mental faculties.
Commenters had fun with his claim, some respondents pointing out that: “You would think the best clairvoyant would be able to avoid so many bankruptcies.” Another posted: “Every time he opens his mouth, he sounds more & more deranged.” Others speculated that Trump, given his constant display of unfamiliarity with grammar and vocabulary, (think COVFEFE) simply doesn’t know what clairvoyant means.
