As the Jeffrey Epstein files continue to wreak havoc for the Trump administration, President Trump threatens to sue the Wall Street Journal and Rupert Murdoch over their report that he sent a racy letter to Epstein.
The Wall Street Journal reported that now-President Donald Trump wrote and addressed a letter to convicted sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein in 2003 as part of a compilation of birthday letters given to Epstein by Ghislaine Maxwell. The letter, written in the outline of a naked woman, was signed, “Donald,” and read, “Happy Birthday – and may every day be another wonderful secret.”
In a Truth Social post, President Trump called the story “false, malicious, and defamatory.” He stated, “The Wall Street Journal, and Rupert Murdoch, personally, were warned directly by President Donald J. Trump that the supposed letter they printed by President Trump to Epstein was a FAKE and, if they print it, they will be sued.”
The long-winded, accusatory social media post continued, “President Trump will be suing the Wall Street Journal, NewCorp, and Mr. Murdoch shortly. The Press has to learn to be truthful, and not rely on sources that probably don’t even exist.” The statement warned, “President Trump has already beaten George Stephanopoulos/ ABC, 60 Minutes/ CBS, and others, and looks forward to suing and holding accountable the once great Wall Street Journal.”
On Thursday, after posting to TruthSocial, President Trump prompted Attorney General Pam Bondi to release some files from Epstein’s criminal case. Trump said, “Based on the ridiculous amount of publicity given to Jeffrey Epstein, I have asked Attorney General Pam Bondi to produce any and all pertinent Grand Jury testimony, subject to Court approval.” Attorney General Pam Bondi said she would be prepared to move in court to have these documents released Friday.”
Trump has previously pushed convoluted narratives surrounding the existence of the Epstein files and his death in a New York City prison in 2019. The president and his administration now fervently claim that there is no Epstein “client list,” and the Department of Justice and the FBI found he died by suicide in his jail cell.
On Wednesday, Trump wrote another lengthy post to Truth Social slamming his MAGA followers for believing the Epstein conspiracy. “These scams and hoaxes are all the Democrats are good at – It’s all they have – They are no good at governing, no good at policy, and no good at picking winning candidates… Their new SCAM is what we will forever call the Jeffrey Epstein Hoax, and my PAST supporters have bought into this ‘bullshit,’ hook, line, and sinker. They haven’t learned their lesson, and probably never will, even after being conned by the Lunatic Left for 8 long years.”
