Donald Trump and his team are trying to monetize as much as possible the return to the White House of the MAGA leader, whose influence is appealing to a great many local businessmen and others who are willing to pay crazy amounts of money in order to spend time in his company.
Lately, the president and his staff have been arranging dinners at Mar-a-Lago at sky-high prices.
Suffice it to say that a group dinner can cost up to $1 million. Those who want a private meeting with the U.S. leader, on the other hand, will have to shell out no less than $5 million.
The event, called “MAGA INC. Candlenight Finance Dinner,” is being organized by Super PAC MAGA Inc. which already financed the president’s election campaign last year, investing more than $400 million in it.
“Donald J. Trump is appearing at this event only as a featured speaker, and is not asking for funds or donations,” read the invitations sent out by the group.
Attendees will be seated on a first-come, first-served basis: the dinners, given also the prohibitive costs for mere mortals, will be decidedly exclusive, and seating will therefore be limited. The events have been included in the president’s official schedule.
This is not the first time that Trump and his loyalists have organized such initiatives. The president had held two similar candlelight dinners at Mar-a-Lago before his inauguration, one on Dec. 19, 2024, and the other on Jan. 19.
MAGA Inc. is part of a larger network of pro-Trump groups, including Never Surrender and Building America’s Future, a nonprofit group linked to Elon Musk.
As Axios reported, the goal of the president and his team is to raise roughly $500 million by the summer. An astronomical amount, with which the MAGA leader will be able to pursue his future projects and “help” his allies.
