Elon Musk’s leadership continues to raise questions and spark interest. According to reports, the billionaire, who recently assumed an informal leadership role within a government department, is increasingly showing himself to be a video game enthusiast at the workplace. The tycoon reportedly has no qualms about blending technology and entertainment, despite his political and business operations.
According to Kotaku, a website dedicated to gaming news and reviews, the South African billionaire decided to furnish his office in the Department for Government Efficiency, DOGE with a sleek gaming computer. Musk also insisted on moving from the West Wing of the White House, which he referred to as a “shack,” to the luxurious Secretary of War Suite in the Eisenhower Executive Office Building. In this space, the visionary entrepreneur added elements that reflect his passions and lifestyle, including a massive curved screen for gaming, flashing LED lights, a DOGE T-shirt, and a quote from the movie Office Space: “What would you say you do here?”.
Technology experts have had the chance to observe Musk’s new setup, calling it a “battle station” that could make even the most dedicated gamers envious. The PC, equipped with a powerful graphics card, seems ready to tackle the challenges posed by games like Diablo 4 and Path of Exile 2.
This is not the first time the tycoon has made headlines for his passion. In the past, one of the richest people in the world has been accused of paying others to improve his online game scores, a practice known as “account boosting.”
Although he admitted to using this technique, the billionaire justified his actions, calling it a common practice. His ex-wife, Canadian musician and singer known as Grimes, defended him in a post stating that her former spouse had achieved significant results in Diablo 4, including securing the top spot among American druids.
However, Musk’s interests aren’t limited to gaming. He continues to closely monitor federal employees, requiring them to send weekly reports via email to describe their activities. Failure to respond will be interpreted as resignation.
