The fascination with Barron Trump, the son of a sitting president, is rampant on the New York University urban campus. Kaya Walker, president of the student group, College Republicans of America, expressed an opinion on the subject and was forced to resign after calling him “an oddity on campus.” Walker, pursuing a bachelor’s degree in International Relations and French, spoke about it to Vanity Fair.
The College Republicans of America (CRA) is a political organization dedicated to promoting conservative values and principles among college students across the United States. Founded in 2023, it “aims to empower, train, and develop the next generation of Republican leaders.”
The young woman described the youngest Trump as a rather withdrawn person who is not very sociable with others. “He goes to class and then goes home,” Walker explained. According to other students as well, Barron, who towers above his peers at 6’7″, does not like to be seen around, preferring instead to spend time in his room.
Later, the NYU young republicans called Walker’s statements “inappropriate” and pushed for her resignation. Members of the group also suggested that the young Trump join them, stating: “Barron Trump represents the future of the conservative movement, and we would be honored to have him join College Republicans of America”.
“Strong leadership is built on resilience, courage, and the humility to rise above petty hostility”, the group added, “qualities that Barron has already demonstrated. We invite Barron to join us in shaping the future of our party”.
The 19-year-old is a figure who fascinates many. As a child, he seemed to have a knack for the cameras: he appeared on his father’s TV show, “The Apprentice,” and his adorable personality immediately captured viewers’ attention. Described as a “little Donald,” Barron Trump once even claimed that when he grew up he wanted to be a business tycoon, following in his daddy’s footsteps, and between his natural ability to wow the crowd and his vivacious personality, many believed he had the makings of one.
However, when Donald Trump was elected president in 2016, little Barron, who was 9 years old at the time, became a target of criticism from some media outlets. Since that time, Donald and Melania Trump have gone to great lengths to protect and preserve his privacy. Over the past few months, with the tycoon’s victorious election campaign, Barron Trump has returned to the spotlight, again attracting the attention of onlookers and insiders.
Some of his college classmates have described him as very popular with women, although President Trump himself has said that his son has never had a girlfriend. Many describe Barron as a bright young man, a quiet and friendly person with a keen interest in politics.
