In the wake of the severe wildfires that have ravaged California in recent days, the Los Angeles Fire Victims Assistance Association SoCal Fire Fund launched by Creative Artists Agency CORE (Community Relief Organized Effort) the humanitarian organization co-founded by Sean Penn and Ann Lee and the Los Angeles Unified School District Education Foundation, is holding an auction of “celebrity experiences” to support recovery and relief efforts. Auction prizes include a lunch with Julia Roberts, meet and greet with Scarlett Johansson at the premiere of Jurassic World Rebirth, a visit to the set of “Only Murders in the Building,” an experience at the premiere of “White Lotus,” etc.
Recovery efforts will help students, school employees and families affected by the fires, which destroyed more than 12,000 buildings and claimed at least 27 lives. Although rescuers have been working day and night to contain the flames that have swept through every county in the state, many residents are still displaced.
Actress Julia Roberts said about the initiative, “The SoCal Fire Fund is an incredible organization dedicated to providing recovery initiatives and life support to those affected by this tragedy. I want to do my part to help amplify their mission and raise support for the families who need it most.” To do so, I invite one of you (and a guest!) to join me for lunch! we will enjoy great food and conversation, and it will be an opportunity to spend some quality time together.”
