The wildfires that have ravaged Los Angeles did not spare Hunter Biden’s luxurious home.
The home wasn’t all that the president’s son lost, the fire also took a vast collection of his artwork, some two hundred of which were created by Hunter and worth several million dollars. They were being kept safe in a storage facility near the estate of Hunter’s Hollywood lawyer, Kevin Morris.
In the past Morris loaned Biden Jr. about $5 million to help him pay off his debts. His property was among the very few spared by the fires.

Hunter had taken up art and painting after emerging from the dark tunnel of drug addiction. In the past, a few of his works were valued as much as $500,000 each: on average, the value of the paintings in question was around $85,000.
Georges Berges, a Soho gallery owner who represented Hunter’s work and had organized solo exhibitions of his paintings in Los Angeles and New York since 2021, said he had lost contact with the 54-year-old for at least a year. Berges also explained that he did not know whether the son of the outgoing president had continued to paint over the past 12 months.
Nevertheless, some of Hunter’s works were saved, precisely because they were still in the gallery owner’s custody. Through Berges, Morris had purchased several of Biden Jr.’s works, spending just under $1 million, more specifically $875,000.
Most of the paintings destroyed in the Los Angeles fire depicted flowers on Japanese paper. At the moment, however, it is not possible to determine the exact value of all the works lost.
