A New York plastic surgeon, 40-year-old Ammar Mahmoud, has been accused of sexually abusing and physically torturing 25-year-old singer and model Maya Willow Sias his former girlfriend. Their relationship that began in 2023 lasted nine months. According to Maya, Mahmoud during this time even tried to inject her with filler without anesthesia.
As the New York Post reports, Sias accused Mahmoud of taking her to Alinea Medical Spa the medical center where he works “He stabbed me in the face with a needle, I could feel the needle scratching against the bone,” she said. Sias claims in the lawsuit filed in Manhattan Supreme Court that the 40-year-old is a violent drug addict and alcoholic hiding behind the facade of a kind and caring plastic surgeon.
Sias also documented the complaint with a series of photographs in which she appears disfigured with bruises and other injuries she allegedly received from Mahmoud during their relationship.
The young model recounted that she met Mahmoud in Miami in April 2023 at a party on a yacht. Soon after, she met with him again in New York where the two began a relationship. From then on, the model says Mahmoud would pamper her with extravagant gifts and trips to Miami and Dubai, but from early on she began to notice that the surgeon regularly abused the anesthetic ketamine and 2C, a synthetic psychedelic drug. But not only that, Mahmoud allegedly raped and sexually enslaved her several times, forcing her to have relations even with some prostitutes in his apartment, and beating her.
“I thought I was going to die,” Sias told the Post. The savage beating left the woman unrecognizable, with her eye swollen shut, her orbital bone shattered, her head deformed and her body and face covered in blood and bruises, according to documents filed in Manhattan court.
Sias alleges that Mahmoud allegedly forced her to stay in his apartment so that no one could see her injuries, monitoring her location with his phone and threatening her with serious consequences if she tried to leave. In addition, the young model alleges that Mahmoud exploited his status as a doctor to prescribe antidepressants to Sias, as well as forcing her to take ketamine a substance he used to “keep her obedient and compliant.”
Despite her obvious need for proper medical care, Mahmoud took it upon himself to simply hide the physical harm he had inflicted by abusing his title as a doctor, the indictment says. Sias said she finally escaped Mahmoud after she went to California for a job and never returned. She now lives in Los Angeles and is still dealing with the trauma. According to the Post, Mahmoud denies the allegations and declined further comment.
