Apple announced during the keynote held last June in Cupertino, California, the launch of Apple Intelligence, a new personal intelligence system that will be integrated into iOS 18.1. The company announced that after the debut in the United States scheduled for next week, the use of AI will be extended in December 2024 to other English-speaking countries, such as Canada, New Zealand,Australia, the United Kingdom, and South Africa. The Wall Street Journal reports.
Later in 2025, support for Italian and other European languages will also be available through Apple Intelligence settings. The new operating system will also bring a new feature for the AirPods Pro 2 earbuds, which will incorporate some advanced hearing options. The purpose of the new operating system is in fact, to provide the user with personalized functions through AI.
As stated on Apple’s official website, the Apple Intelligence system is deeply integrated into iOS 18, iPadOS 18 and macOS Sequoia. It harnesses the power of the Apple chip to understand and create language and images, perform actions in apps, and tap into personal context to simplify and speed up everyday tasks. With Private Cloud Compute, Apple is setting a new standard for privacy in artificial intelligence.
