As the United States women’s gymnastics team gears up for the 2024 Summer Olympics in Paris, their secret to peak performance extends beyond the gym floor. In a bid to combat the challenging sleeping conditions of the Olympic Village, USA Gymnastics has partnered with BedJet to ensure their athletes receive the best possible rest.
The Olympic Village, known for its environmentally friendly and sustainable design, features cardboard beds that, while innovative, lack the comfort needed for elite athletes who need to perform at their peak. Furthermore, the absence of air conditioning in the Parisian summer means the temperature is often stiflingly hot.
To address this, the U.S. gymnastics team is using BedJet’s Comfort Sleep System. This system uses air combined with a patented Cloud Sheet to rapidly “wick” away body heat and sweat, manufacturing a cool and comfortable sleeping environment. Cecile Landi, personal coach to Simone Biles, confirmed the positive impact of this technology, saying, “[They are] sleeping better already. The girls were super happy. It’s been really good.”

This collaboration between USA Gymnastics and BedJet underscores the importance of sleep in athletic performance and recovery. Lauryn Turner, Chief Operating Officer of USA Gymnastics, emphasized, “Sleep is essential to recovery, and given the possibility of warm temperatures in Paris, we needed a lightweight, portable solution to keep our athletes cool and support quality sleep.”
Mark Aramli, CEO of BedJet, expressed pride in supporting the team, stating, “We are incredibly proud to support the USA Gymnastics Team and honored that they selected BedJet to help their athletes sleep better, cooler, and sweat-free during this critical time.”
The company has experienced explosive growth since the initial product launch, it now sells in over 40 countries and has reached lifetime revenue of well over $100M.
