We all know that any moment can be our last, yet we seem to forget just how true that claim really is. This man from Oregon was strolling about in his day-to-day activities when, suddenly, a 4-foot-wide power saw blade slammed into the door he had just closed. The blade just kept on revolving, had he been there, that would have been his gory death.
The blade came from a nearby construction site, and its liberation may have been a result of operator error, but those claims have yet to be verified.
Undeniably, however, this poor resident had quite a shock to start his morning.
The other patrons of the store spoke about the loud bang and the resulting shockwave that rumbled through the small building, in a video from a CCTV camera inside the store you can see the entire structure shake upon impact.
The frightened man is grateful to be alive, as he says, “Maybe it just wasn’t my time, but I don’t think I’d be alive if I had been touched by that thing.”
