Axl Rose, the lead singer of Guns N’ Roses, is facing legal proceedings for an alleged sexual assault on a former Penthouse model, Sheila Kennedy. Kennedy, who featured in the magazine during the late 1980s, asserts that Rose singled her out at a party in 1989, leading to a forceful attack. According to court documents obtained by Daily Express US, Kennedy contends that Rose utilized his celebrity, influence, and power to exploit, control, and sexually assault her in a violent manner.
The encounter purportedly began when the two first met at a New York nightclub in February 1989. After engaging in conversation, Rose invited Kennedy to his hotel room, excluding her friend whom he deemed “not attractive enough.” Once in the suite, the party continued with Rose providing cocaine, champagne, and alcohol. Kennedy initially expressed openness to the possibility of intimate relations that night, but the situation took a dark turn when Rose cleared the room, leaving only her and another model, engaging in aggressive sexual activity in her presence.
Andrew “Riki” Rachtman, a friend of Rose present in New York, was also in the room at the time. When Kennedy communicated her disinterest in participating in group activities, she left the room and joined Rachtman. Kennedy claims they overheard Rose becoming violent, insisting that the third woman in the room should leave. Allegedly, Rose directed derogatory language at the unnamed second woman and threw objects around the room.
Upon realizing Kennedy was still present in the suite, she alleges that Rose forcibly pulled her back into the hotel room by her hair before subjecting her to a violent assault.
