Breaking her silence after years, Ventura expressed her readiness to share her story, emphasizing the urgency brought about by the impending expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act. In a statement, she said, “With the expiration of New York’s Adult Survivors Act fast approaching, it became clear that this was an opportunity to speak up about the trauma I have experienced and that I will be recovering from for the rest of my life.”
Combs’ attorney, Ben Brafman, released a statement on behalf of his client, vehemently denying the “offensive and outrageous allegations.” Brafman also claimed that Ventura had persistently demanded $30 million from Combs, threatening to write a damaging book about their relationship. Despite withdrawing the initial threat, Ventura has now opted for a lawsuit filled with, according to Brafman, “baseless and outrageous lies” to damage Combs’ reputation and seek financial compensation.
