On Tuesday, Hunter Biden initiated a civil lawsuit against Rudy Giuliani and his former attorney, alleging that they have severely compromised his digital privacy and violated both federal and state computer privacy laws. According to the lawsuit filed in a federal California court, Hunter Biden asserts that Giuliani and Robert Costello have been engaged in a years-long campaign involving unauthorized access, manipulation, duplication, dissemination, and excessive scrutiny of data obtained, whether legitimately or illegitimately, from his electronic devices.
The lawsuit further contends that Hunter Biden has formally demanded that Giuliani and Costello cease their unlawful activities regarding his data and return any data belonging to him that is in their possession. Regrettably, these demands have been met with refusal. The statements made by the defendants suggest an ongoing engagement in unlawful hacking activities, posing a threat that these actions will persist in the future, thereby necessitating legal action.
This lawsuit is the latest addition to a series of legal actions pursued by Hunter Biden as part of his robust legal strategy against those who oppose him. It arises amid a backdrop of Republican-led impeachment inquiries into his father, President Joe Biden, which also scrutinize Hunter Biden’s business dealings.
A source within Hunter’s legal team remarked, “Those who were involved in the acquisition and manipulation of Hunter’s data should be concerned about potential legal consequences.”
In a recent development earlier this month, Hunter Biden filed a similar civil suit against former Trump White House aide Garrett Ziegler, alleging that since leaving his White House position, Ziegler has dedicated a substantial amount of his time and effort to gaining unauthorized access to devices purportedly owned by Hunter Biden. Additionally, just last week, Hunter Biden initiated legal proceedings against the Internal Revenue Service, claiming that its agents unlawfully disclosed his tax information and failed to safeguard his private records.
